David Nimmo formed Nimmo Industrial Buildings Ltd in 1988 primarily carrying out structural steel erection, roofing and wall cladding. The company expanded over the years and in 1998 we formed Elite Steel Services Ltd as a sister company for fabricating our own steelwork.
Both Nimmo and Elite have adapted over the years to the changing demands of domestic, industrial and agricultural needs. We now employ over 25 staff some of whom have been with us from the beginning. Our projects take us throughout the UK often resulting in repeat business as we offer our customers a personal and professional service.
In 1999 Karl Whiley started working for Nimmo when he was just 18 years old as a labourer. He has since progressed to site supervisor/manger and on to becoming Contracts Manager in 2020 and was also appointed as company director in 2021. He has been a great asset to the management team due to his loyalty and wealth of knowledge gained from working with us for so many years.
In 2022 we made to decision to amalgamate the two companies to create a more streamline service for our clients. Still providing the great service we always have but now under the name of Nimmo Industrial Buildings Ltd.
